How do I know you are getting me the best deal?
We are seasoned professionals who have first-hand industry experience working in car dealerships as managers. We know how dealers make money; we know the tactics dealers use to make money, and we know how to protect you from overpaying. This is what we do, and we are very good at it!
Our Owner, Dorian Gunn, has been negotiating car deals dating back to 1996. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in negotiating every aspect of your transaction. He is very good at identifying “hidden fees” and getting them removed from your deal. If you like to negotiate and want to do so before hiring us, we recommend choosing our Beat My Deal option. Please review our Services tab for more detailed information.
Do you receive commissions from the dealership when negotiating a vehicle purchase or lease?
No. We do not negotiate with dealerships for commissions when we negotiate a purchase or lease for our clients because we feel this will create a conflict of interest.
When is the best time of year to buy a new car?
There is no exact way to predict. The car market constantly changes. Supply and demand play and important role. Excessive inventory leads to lower prices and manufacturer incentives. Holidays and the end of the year tend to be a great time to buy a car or lease a car though.
Are you a car broker?
We are an auto concierge. Our loyalty is to you, our client. We work in your best interest. We will guide you through the car buying or car leasing process to make sure you don’t overpay. We do not negotiate for additional commissions from the dealership when we negotiate a vehicle purchase or a vehicle lease for our clients. Dealerships pay car brokers, and their commissions are undisclosed to you. We feel this is a conflict of interest.
Is a low price a great deal?
Not necessarily. Dealers are very good at manipulating the deal to make it look good. Many dealerships increase revenues by marking up the lease rate (Money Factor), interest rate, bank fee, extended service contract, and also by selling accessories or “extras” that you do not want or that you didn’t know was added to the vehicle. Just because the price is low, this doesn’t mean you got a great deal.
What if I want to trade in my existing car or truck?
We can handle that as well. Read all about our specialized trade-in negotiation services.
Can you help with leases?
Yes. We are seasoned professionals who know how to negotiate a lease deal to make sure you don’t overpay. Dealers make a lot of money on leases by marking up lease rates (money factors) and bank fees so it is important to have expert representation.
Do you have any vehicle inventory?
No. We don’t have our own inventory, but our service allows us to search and negotiate any dealership inventory.
Which dealers are in your network?
The beauty of our service is that all dealerships are in our network. We are not loyal to any. We have the ability to negotiate will all dealerships to make sure you get a great deal and do not overpay.
How long does the process take?
The process typically takes 3-7 business days, but we have been known to get your deal done in 24 hours or less. We go at the pace required to meet your needs.
Do I still get the manufacturer’s warranty?
Yes. You receive the same warranties offered by the manufacturer as if you were dealing with the car dealership directly. By working with Open Road Auto Concierge, we facilitate the entire process for you saving you time, money and hassle.
Can I service my new car at a dealership other than where I bought or leased it from?
Yes. You can service the vehicle at the dealership most convenient to you.
Can you special order my new car and still save me money?
Yes. We can special order your new car and still get you the same great deal as if it were currently in the dealership inventory.
Do I have to go to the dealership to pick up my new car?
We have an excellent track record of having vehicles delivered to our clients. Although we strive to have vehicles delivered to our clients, there are rare occasions where a dealership will not deliver a vehicle, and it must be picked up from the dealership. We will guide you through the process should this occur, and a representative from Open Road Auto Concierge will be available to you throughout your time at the dealership via telephone, email, text, or another way should any questions arise.
Where/when do I sign paperwork?
Final contract paperwork is signed when you get your new or pre-owned vehicle. If the vehicle is delivered to your home or office, the paperwork will be delivered with the vehicle allowing you to sign in the comfort of your home or office.
